European Timberframe built this stunning gazebo for the CHBA Central Okanagan Home Show, to demonstrate what their work looks like. And when the show is over, they would like to donate it to a worthy Okanagan community group, but they need the community's help to find that group!
If you're part of or know of a group that could make good use of a timber frame gazebo, all you have to do is write a simple e-mail to[email protected], telling us about yourselves or nominating a group you know of. Tell us anything… what the group does, what the gazebo could be used for, how many people would get to use it? The big requirement is that it will live somewhere in the Okanagan where the community will benefit.
Here are the details of what the lucky winners will be receiving in their beautiful 10x10 Gazebo:
- 2' overhang on all sides - adding up to a 14'x14' shelter.
- Made of solid, heavy-duty Douglas Fir Timbers.
- Kiln dried wood to prevent shrinking, twisting or cracking of the timbers.
- Traditional Mortise and Tenon timber frame connections/joinery.
- Timbers are Hand Hewn for a rustic, antique look.
- Stained with one coat of Dark Walnut and one clear coat to protect and finish.
If you want to see the gazebo in person, come to the CHBA Central Okanagan Home Show, April 5th-7th (click link for details). European timberframe will be happy to talk with you at our booth. The gazebo will be a part of the center stage display. Written applications will be accepted in person at the home show, or by e-mail until April 29th. No phone calls regarding this contest, please.
